So many books … so much to learn. Can’t wait!

Just had to share that I was the fortunate person to win a $200 Information Today gift certificate at the #AIIP2012 annual conference in Indianapolis this week.  I was in 7th heaven – all those wonderful books to choose from!  Now to carve out time to read, reflect, and learn.  And then to put that learning into action.  Can’t wait to get started!

Marriage of document delivery and search

Posted on November 6, 2011. Filed under: information search | Tags: , |

Document delivery vendor Reprints Desk has entered into an agreement with Deep Web Technologies to integrate Deep Web’s Explorit federated search product with Reprints Desk’s single-article document delivery service.  Once integrated, researchers, or the research librarians and information professionals who support them, will be able to search across multiple databases for relevant information and have it delivered through a single online service.

As a Reprints Desk user on behalf of my clients, I look forward to this option, in addition to the continued ability to order copies of articles, conference papers, and other materials, regardless of the source.  Nice!

Need research assistance?  Perhaps I can help!

And P.S. – yes, I am an independent info pro too 🙂 –nks
